$6.44 bln utility acquisition will drive major updates to MAPSearch GIS data

With the recent announcement that Emera Inc will acquire Teco Energy Inc for $6.44 billion, the MAPSearch GIS and Research teams will be busy updating over 125 facilities in their GIS dataset. The Canadian company is expecting to expand their United States market through the purchase of the American gas utility holding company and the majority of these assets are in Florida.
