ESRI UC 2015 PART II

Now that we’ve returned from San Diego, I didn’t want to let too much time pass before I wrote a little bit about our experiences at the ESRI User Conference.  It was really exciting to see the innovative ways that the GIS community is applying their expertise.  The exhibit floor was filled with new solutions for conserving energy, streamlining logistics, managing natural resources and just improving lives in general. Not surprisingly, there were quite a few drones on display this year.  It’s amazing how quickly advancements are being made to this technology and I have no doubt that we’ll continue to see more of them in years to come.

At the MAPSearch booth, we had the opportunity to meet and speak with people from nearly every industry and region represented at this year’s conference.  While from a business perspective we work especially hard to connect with folks involved either directly or indirectly with energy, it is, nonetheless, interesting to hear from people in other fields.  And, with the launch MAPSearch Professional Services, we may be working with professionals in other sectors soon.

I mentioned in my last post that we would give away tablets to two lucky people visited the MAPSearch booth.  I am pleased to congratulate Josh L. of Ohio and David S. of Texas as the winners of the drawing!  They will be receiving their brand new Microsoft Surface 3 tablets shortly.  Thanks to everyone who participated and keep checking in for information about future contests!

That about does it for this year’s User Conference.  We certainly enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward to seeing you again next year.
